When the night is over,
but the day has not yet begun,
there is a waiting room
to let go of the past,
that the future may take seed.
This is where dream-flowers are planted
for the new day’s sun to call to fruition.
That is where we wait now.
As the momentum of one year ends
and the wheels of the other will soon turn.
This is the time for reflection and intentions.
